Lol it's BS. Even if they do ban us, they won't stop us. The whole point of modding is to make the game more fun, not "negitivly affect the game forthose around us". I don't see why people don't accept that.

I agree that there is no place for modding in matchmaking, however I do believe that modding should be allowed in zombies, campaign, etc..
It's the people who mod multiplayer that ruin the game, not those who mod in zombies. I don't see why they don't make it so you can mod in zombies, or other stuff but not online like on CoD4.

I wish treyarch would allow mods in zombies, maybe even make a zombie section which allows modding...

Yep, once we buy a copy of the game from a retail enclosure the company relinquishes all power of it. (Well except the ToS)
Meaning we are allowed to mod since we own the game.

This person from the Call of Duty site put it better.

How about just adding all of the settings being hacked to private match settings and private co-op zombies. You could even set it up with its own set of leaderboards and create point penalties for the more stuff enabled. Now that's a rich idea. Now for my two cents on the "is illegal" statement/scare tactic: Also console & game modding is Not illegal. Treyarch, Activision, Infinity Ward, Microsoft all relinquish that right at the retail counter and when it becomes the purchaser property. The only right that the "providers" have is the ToS which includes hosted services which are paid for beyond the initial purchase such as Xbox Live, Multiplayer etc... On another thought, they could seek punitive damages however it would be a waste of time and a lot of money spent on a campaign that would ultimately hinder their credibility because they couldn't show an actual loss in revenue. Online stats would likely be used to bring a case forward however they don't have data to support why their game is more popular over another at any given time. Another option for loss of revenue is by way of employee salary, cost of deployment etc etc... but that is a lost cause as well since they sold the game that way and the purchaser is simply modifying their own property and it is a service they chose to provide by providing maintenance release afterwords and not the purchasers option. Now cheater912 deserved what he got, because he was actually trying to make a profit off of another organizations intellectually property which is illegal. If he were to have kept his tool to himself or anonymously released it to the masses, they wouldn't have anything to say to him. Now let the rebuttals flow. "
