Quick question to web experts. How long did it take you guys to learn HTML and CSS? i'm frustrated, I started teaching myself a couple of weeks ago watching tutorials on youtube and reading books but I dont seem to show much progress. Please advice. Thanks.

I don't know HTML or CSS, but you gotta work with it a lot. Like, just change the code around and stuff, see what you can make. Or create like a web page, and as you learn stuff keep updating it.

About 2 weeks to get a good grasp of it. However they're languages which you'll always be learning little things about. Youtube tutorials and books are the worst way to learn because they usually go too in depth and aren't very practical. If you want, try my guide on making your first web page; Forums/viewtopic/t=915078.html

i believe the quickest way to actually see how HTML and CS works is, by downloading a free template just go on google and search free templates for CSS, then once downloaded it open it in dreamweaver or expression or even notepad to view the code, becuase basically tha is a platform already made and you should just take it apart, i've bin designing websites for about 4 years now and i don't know everything, i don't think anyone does, but simply rip aprt a CSS template from the web and start looking through it.
