Try this...

Clear Any Failed system updates that cause the console to error.
1With the console off, press and hold the sync up button (the small white one)
2.While holding the sync button press the power button to turn on the console
3.Continue to hold the sync button until the Console has booted up completely.
4.During the boot process the console should clear any failed updates, allowing you to use it normally.

Worth a shot.

it didnt ask for a game update it sounds like. i bet it said "a system update is required to play this game" and you said yes. that is pretty much the same as an online update a thing to remember in the future is when u burn a game to xex menu find the system update folder in that game and delete it. as simple as that

Dont even update offline. I think your Jtag is done for. The only way to fix would be to reflash your NAND. If that doesnt work then you are screwed.

Not one right answer i saw WOW!

Well in the first place if it was a system update, your jtag is now a retail (NO! a simple nand flash won't fix it since you blown the e-fuses with the update).
You should of downloaded the patched default.xex and deleted the "$System update" folder.
