Note: For those XBOX users, modding your Wii is "jtagging". Except everything about JTAGGING is 10x much easier on the Wii. You can virtually do almost about everything.

This will work on SYSTEM MENU 4.3, 4.2, 4.1 and under.

Warning - All users who are on a firmware lower than 4.2, DO NOT update if you have a hacked firmware!!

There is a new DVD drive chipset that is starting to emerge that will not play DVDR. If your Wii came with system menu 4.0 on it, then it could be one. The chipset is known as a D3-2 and the only way of telling if you have one is to open her up, but as this will invalidate your warranty you are better off trying to load DVDRs and if you just keep getting errors then it is a good indication that you have one. The USB loader will still work though so just follow the guide as normal.

The only thing that you will need is an empty SD card formatted as FAT32.

You will also need a program installed into your computer called WinRAR. This will let you open packages I give you.

INSTALLING HOMEBREW CHANNEL FOR 4.1 & 4.2

Download the package for your Wii Firmware. You can find your Wii Firmware version by going Wii settings.

1) Open the contents from the download into the root of your SD card. In the root of the SD card you should have:

* apps
* private
* codes
* boot.elf


2) Run to your Wii, place the card in the SD slot, and navigate to the SD card icon on the bottom left. Once you do this, a warning screen about scams should appear, press OK. A disclaimer will appear, press "1" to continue. If you encounter a problem with your Wii freezing then reset your Wii and click Options, then Data Management, then Channels, then click the SD tab. A disclaimer will appear, press "1" to continue.

3) Now three lines should appear: Homebrew channel, which can be installed, DVDx, also can be installed, Bootmii, which possibly will give you an error. Install Homebrew Channel and DVDx. BootMii installation is optional but recommended for people who value their Wii so it doesn't brick. *Optional* On bootmii option, select "prepareSD card". After it finishes, install it as boot2 (if possible) or as an IOS. YOU HAVE NOW FINISHED HACKING YOUR WII!

Note: In most cases, BootMii will give you an error, so it cannot be installed as a boot2. For most of you, it will be installed as an IOS.

If you were able to install BootMii to boot2, then follow the steps in Backup Your NAND. If not, continue.

BACKING UP YOUR NAND

Making a NAND backup with Bootmii is highly recommended, as it will recover your Wii from 99.9% of bricks unless you smash your Wii with a brick. There is a 00.1% chance that it will happen.
Use the same SD card you used to install Bootmii and make sure there is at least 530mb free on it.
Bootmii is very fussy about what SD cards it uses, so avoid generic ones. Try to use a Sandisk or a similar brand.


1) Put the SD card into the Wii, if you installed Bootmii as boot2 then it will load, if it is installed as an IOS go to the Homebrew Channel, press 'home' on your wiimote and select 'Launch Bootmii'.

2) Use the power/reset/eject buttons to navigate the Bootmii menu and select the icon with the gears on it. If those buttons don't work then you will have to use a Gamecube controller.

3) Now select the icon with a green arrow pointing from the chip to the SD card and follow the on screen instructions.

4) In about 10 minutes you will have a NAND backup, it is normal to have up to 80 bad blocks so don't worry if you get some.

5) Put the SD card into PC and copy the NAND backup somewhere safe, you can now delete it from your card. If you installed Bootmii as boot2 then also copy the Bootmii folder to your PC and either delete or rename it, otherwise it will load every time you switch your Wii on.

If ever you get bricked, then copy the bootmii folder and NAND backup onto your card and do steps 1 and 2 again; use Preloader to get to HBC if necessary, then select the icon with the arrow going from the SD card to the chip. It is not recommended to restore your NAND if you have Bootmii installed as an IOS.



INSTALLING HOMEBREW CHANNEL FOR 4.3

-SD Card
-Super Smash Bros Brawl or Lego Indiana Jones
(Zelda Twilight Princess won't work for this)
-You may or may not need a Gamecube controller

This guide works, but the process is not noob friendly. You may lose patience.

1. Download the Package

2. Extract with WinRar (Download is on top of the page)

3. Copy the Hack Pack to the SD Card
(Don't insert SD Card into Wii yet)

Step 1 - Load Multi Mod Manager
Super Smash Bros Brawl - Smash Stack (4.3U)
1. If you have a Super Smash Bros Brawl savegame, back it up and delete from wii
2. Load Super Smash Bros Brawl, wtih SD Card removed, make a save file
3. Go to Vault then Stage Builder, delete all custom stages, exit stage builder
4. Insert SD Card, Go back to stage builder
5. LoadMii starts, load from SD Card - Press A
6. Select "Multi_MOD_Manager.dol" - Press A
7. [MMM] Multi-Mod-Manager loads
(This may take several tries before it loads)
8. Select "Load another IOS" - press A
9. Select IOS80- press A
*You need to delete all custom stages for this to work*
*You may need to try this many, many times for it to work*

Lego Indiana Jones - Indiana PWNS (4.3U 4.3E & 4.3J)
1. Play Lego Indiana Jones, complete the first level, make a save game.
2. Go to settings, data management, save games, wii
3. Delete Lego Indiana Jones save game
4. Click SD, copy Indiana PWNS for your region
5. Play Lego Indiana Jones, load save game slot 1
6. When the game loads, you will be in Barnett College. Walk to the Art Room (through the Courtyard), approach the left character on the podium. When it zooms on him, choose the switch to option (two silhouettes, staggered, with an arrow pointing between them).
7. LoadMii starts, load from SD Card - Press A
8. Select "Multi_MOD_Manager.dol" - Press A
9. [MMM] Multi-Mod-Manager loads
(This may take several tries before it loads)
10. Select "Load another IOS" - press A
11. Select IOS80 - press A


Step 2 - Restore the Trucha Bug
1. Select IOS Manager - Press A
2. Select ios41 - Press +/R to install v3091
(DO NOT PRESS A, DO NOT INSTALL V3348)
3. Say NO to all 4 patches, install from SD Card (Do NOT Install from NUS)
4. Press B, main menu
5. Select "Load another IOS" - press A
6. Select IOS41 - press A
7. Select APP Manager - Press A
8. Select TBR (Trucha Bug Restorer) - Press A
9. Select ios41 press A
10. Wait, read, press 1
11. Select "Downgrade IOS15" - Press A
12. Load IOS from sd card Press A - press A again
13. Press A to start the install - press A again
14. Press any button to exit

If you get an error:
go to step 3. If that fails, restore ios15 and downgrade again, If you get a DSI error after ios15 downgrade, go to step 3, it may have worked.

Step 3 - Trucha Bug Restorer
1. Load Multi Mod Manager again (repeat Step 1)
2. Select "Load another IOS" - load ios15 - press A
3. Select IOS Manager - Press A
4. Press 1 (Install cios) select IOS36 - Press A
5. Select IOS236 menu - press A
6. Set version # to v54321 - press A
7. Say YES to all 4 patches, install from SD card
8. When finished press B - Main Menu
9. Select "Load another IOS" - press A
10. Select IOS236 - press A

If step 3 fails with error -ret 2011, repeat step 2

Step 4 - Install WAD's
Never Uninstall IOS, you will brick your wii
1. Select "WAD Manager" - Press A
2. Press 1 to "Install all Wads" - Press A
(very important, install all wad's. If the wad's fail to install, install 1 at a time)
3. Press any button to continue
4. Press B two times - main menu

Be sure to load ios236 prior to installing wad's

*Optional - Step 5 - Downgrade to System Menu 4.1
(This step is optional if you want to keep Menu Version 4.3,
downgrading to 4.1 will restore bannerbomb)
DO NOT do this before installing all wad's without error (you will brick your Wii)
1. From the main menu, Select Manage System Menu, Press A
2. Install System Menu 4.1

Step 6 - Install Homebrew Channel, DVDX & BootMii
1. Select APP Mannager - Press A
2. Load the Hackmii Installer
3. Select Hackmii Installer - press A
4. Read: If you paid, you have been scammed - Press 1
5. Install Homebrew Channel
6. Install DVDx
7. Install BootMii as IOS
(Install BootMii as Boot2 if possible)
8. Exit HackMii Installer
9. Homebrew Channel loads

*Step 7 - Install Priiloader
(If you kept Menu Version 4.3)
1. Install Priiloader
(Priiloader may give errors - 106, it's ok)
Wait, HBC loads
2. Hold reset - Priiloader loads
3. Select "System Menu Hacks" - Press A
4. Enable: Block Disk Update, Block Online Update, No-Delete HAXX,JODI,DVDX,DISC,DISK,RZDx
(If you reboot Wii Menu Version 4.3 without these hacks, your HBC will be deleted)

HOW TO USE CODES FOR GAMES

1)Extract the package with WinRar.
2)Open CodeManager.exe
3)Open any .txt file you saved your codes in.
4)Check any codes you want to use in the game.
5)Click "Export to GCT"
6)Choose your SD card drive to save it with.
7)Put it in your Wii and go to the Homebrew Channel.
8)Run GeckoOS on the Wii and make sure you have SD Cheats on with the right specific settings. (COD Requires a specific hook type)
9)Click Launch Game. Your done!
