CHAPTER 1

PART A:
INTRODUCTION- WHAT IS FLIPPING?
Flipping, described in it's most basic terms, is the art of buying low and selling high, quickly and in rapid succession. What separates flipping from other types of merchanting, is that while the profit per flip is not necessarily huge, but it can be done over and over again as many times as needed. Flipping is arguably the safest type of merchanting, and one can risk their entire cash stack on an item, with potentially massive return and little to no fear of losing money, IF DONE CORRECTLY. As far as flipping goes there are really 2 types of flipping, and those just depend on the pricing of the items one is flipping. For the purpose of the guide I'll call these two high and low stake flipping, low stake being the flipping of low priced items (10gp-10k) where one buys a large amount and then sells for a higher price. The gp difference may be only 10 but 10 gp times a 10k stock still = 100k in a matter of minutes. High stake flipping is when one buys higher priced items (13k-20m) and a low stock, generally around 1-100 of the item. With high stake flipping, one can make as much as 1m per flip, in either a matter of minutes or up to an hour. This leads into the next section, WHY FLIP??

WHY FLIP??- as mentioned above, flipping is extremely safe if done properly, and can have some extreme profits. Also flipping is EXTREMELY easy to get the hang of and can be quite fun at times. It is possible to train while flipping, which is a bonus, however if you do train something at the ge, so alching, herblore, fletching, crafting, and firemaking are all great skills to train while flipping. Lastly, flipping is not just a runescape practice, this has real applications to the stock market, and what you do on Runescape can and will probably have real world applications.

Lastly to finish of this chapter, just a quick "chart" with the pros and cons of flipping:

PROS:
Quick and easy to pick up
Low risk

Fast cash
Train while you cake
LOL at noobs who are poor
CONS:
Amount of profit depends on a bit of luck, and some skill
though low, there is a potential to lose money
Definitely not THE fastest, but one of them
Provides no exp and takes away from training time
provides lots of attention and time spent at the computer (DONT EVEN DREAM OF A FLIPPING BOT. IT WOULD GF YOUR BANK)

CHAPTER 2

HOW TO FLIP
STEP 1- SELECTING AN ITEM-
For the noobz, I usually redirect them to the grand exchange database's list of most traded items, to find their items. As you can see nature runes are the most traded item, with 1.5b of them being traded in the last month! while not only being truly amazing ( and probably 90% thanks to graahk crafting botters lol) this is good news for us flippers! you see when we flip, we not only want to have a large price spread for our items, but we want to be able to buy and sell quickly. so high stock traded items such as nature runes guarantee a fast flip with the right prices. HOWEVER every item can be flipped, and often the best items are at the bottom of this list (i.e. hundredth most traded item), because those toward the top tend to have an extremely small profit margin. Good items to choose are common pking items (Nezzy Helms, dharok's, other barrows, sharks. All are discussed in Chapter 3) and items that are used for pvp/training/any other common runescape activity.

HOW TO FIND YOUR PRICES. MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THE GUIDE-
okay so another important part of flipping is finding your buy/sell prices. this is KEY to flipping well, and you should actually not even attempt flipping until you understand this process, which should not take long. I will outline it in Steps for you guys.

Step 1- select item. ( getting difficult yet )
Step 2- in grand exchange, buy 1 of the item for +100-50% of its market price. (k explanation time.) basically if you dont get it, this means hit the +5% button 10-20 times. NOW STOP. what have we just done here. if done correctly you should get ur item, and a few gp, and it should say you bought 1 of ____ for ___ gp. the first ____ is ur item obviously, but the second is very important, and if you are serious about flipping, you will write it down. the second ____ is your sell price. the reason we BUY an item to determine our SELL price is because it shows us what other people are sellling it at. basically if other people are selling it there, why shouldnt we? every now and then you might get strange prices, or get a 20 gp spread on feathers or something like that lol. if you think anything, and I mean anything at all is fishy about your prices then redo the tests. I will go into more detail about things to look out for later.
Step 3- now take that same item you just bought and sell it for about 1 gp. (if merching something expensive then sell for 20-30% below market, just to make sure you dont lose too much cash) now you will get more than 1 gp obviously and once again it will say you sold ____ for ____ gp. the second ____ is your buy price. If you understood Step 2, then this should make perfect sense to you, you sell really low, to see what others are buying at so you, like them, buy for that low too. once again if you see anything fishy then recheck your prices!

You should now have 2 numbers, one is the buy price and one is the sell price. you are now ready to begin flipping! /

If it is your first time merching the item, only spend about 10% or maybe even less of your available funds on it. This flip will be a speed test, to test how fast this item really is. you never want to spend more than 15 minutes on a flip, because it detracts from you profit per hour, unless you have enough cash to flip other things at the same time. if the item goes relatively quickly, 5-10 min, then by all means spend your ENTIRE cash stack, i promise you will earn it all back and more, but if its taking 15-20 min and ur only making 50-100k, then forget about it, think up another item and try again. REMEMBER GUYS, NOT EVERY FLIP WILL MAKE YOU THAT 200-300K! SOME TIMES YOU WILL ONLY GET AROUND 25-50K PER FLIP, THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT THESE FLIPS ARENT WORTH DOING! this is a very rookie mistake, people have no patience and expect to make 500k+ each flip, but flipping pure ess making about 25k a flip at 2-3min a flip, you still make 500k an hour, and if your flipping natures AND pure essence? well get outtta here now your cakin. as with everything in life and rs, you gotta start small to win large. I for instance turned a 2m cashpile into a 9m cashpile in 2 days (no lifing) doing small flips and had the time of my life.

WHAT AND WHEN TO FLIP-
IN order to maximize your profits, think of when people are playing and what they are doing in your timezone, and what they are doing at certain times. for instance people finish their homework and start pking at around 4:00 pm for me, so i flip sharks, nezzys and barrows items then. later when they lose bank/get tired of pking, they will begin training and other things. now you merch cannonballs/pure ess. Possibly do some research and figure out what ur friends/acquaintances do at different times, these things will make you a 10x better mercher. As i always say, anything can be flipped at anytime, however as pk worlds stop to empty, you see less people buying gmaul's, making them less profitable and a worse item to flip.
