PainlessDeaths wrote I've got a pair of Astro A40's while my brother has TurtleBeach x11's and I have a lot more power over how I can use my Astro's and stuff. The customization on Astro's is pretty nice too. Down side after tax and all the little things Astro's need with your shipping its $300+. Just your opinion on sound.

People say Astro's Break easier. Do u agree?

Coming from owning Turtle Beach's (x11's at that) And now having Astros' there are various comparisons.

Turtle Beachs' for me lasted a good 2 and a half months, then the cords began to break, and the headset was just going down the drain.

Now that i have Astro A40s' the difference is phenomenal.

First off, they feel like a well-made headset. Far more comfortable then beachs'.

Next, the MixAMP really helps alot, putting all my volume controls into, where i can turn off chat, or turn off game volume, or just have both on and fix the master volume. Very convenient.

Finally, the sound quality of games is much smoother. It doesn't sound like sharp, piercing noises. It hits the ear good, and sounds classy.

IMO, Beachs' maybe are worth it for the money. My X11's cost me only $70, as apposed to the $250 for my Astro's but hey, You get what you pay for right?

Hope this helped .
