Activision Publishing CEO Mike Griffith today confirmed that Call of Duty creator Infinity Ward, which most recently handled Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, will return to the franchise next year with Call of Duty 6.
"In 2009, we expect Infinity Ward to deliver another [entry of] ground-breaking quality, Call of Duty 6," Griffith stated at today's Activision Blizzard Analyst Day. Earlier this year, the CEO revealed that a new Call of Duty game would arrive in 2009, but did not offer any other details at the time.
Confusingly, Griffith's presentation today seemed to date CoD 6 for 2010 as well. After discussing Treyarch's Call of Duty: World at War, which he referred to as Call of Duty 5, the CEO said that "for calendar year 2010, Infinity Ward is already at work on the next installment in the franchise."

Im quite enjoying world at war why do u guys hate it so much is it just that its world war 2

5 reasons i dont like it and 5 reasons i do
reasons i dont
1. The Guns suck.
2. muliplayer is slower online not so much of a rush
3. maps are big but lack cover
4. on search and destory you can't hear the bomb being placed or defusted
5.glitching, world at war is one big glitch ball allmost every map and game mode has an issue in some way or another with glitching
reasons i do like it
1.zombie mode
2.zombie mode
3.zombie mode
4 raygun
5. flamethrower
call of duty 4 has more of an edge then world at war i have spent so much time playing COD4 online to know that world at war and 4 do not have much in common if COD4 had the maps from world at war as a map pack people would play cod4 again its the way 4 works its just better also prestige mode 65 ranks per prestige on world at war is asking to much unless you spend everyday of your life when you get home from work on it you will never get to 10th prestige before COD MW2 comes out im going to keep playing COD4 and play zombie mode on world at war its very rare i play on world at wars muliplayer at all if and when i get to rank 65 i wont prestige
if there was no zombie mode this game would have been sold on ebay by now

I agree with u 100% codwaw sucks people drive around in nearly indestructible tanks blowin everything the hell up
