Actually I put a lot of research into this exact same question myself. Here are some things I learned. First off, Tritons can be a lot cheaper with good quality. Turtle Beaches are also good but are way more popular which means the cost will be higher. I own a pair of Tritons and have heard that with the pair I have they DO NOT have very good surround sound. They do, but not as good as turtle beaches. The tritons also have a in-game voice control as well as a game sound control. Has a detachable mic and I was able to set it up in about 5 minutes.
The turtle beaches are supposedly good, but all in all... For a decent gaming set at a really cheap price get the Tritons. If you're willing to chunk in extra cash for Turtle Beaches then go ahead. Good luck ;)

turtle beach FTW, more comfortable, rarely break and if they do, you can get a spare cable or fix within a week no matter what it is, unbleievable

I had Tritons....returned them the next day.
I got my Turtle Beach x11's and love them.
I'd never go with Tritons again,
