Hey guys, I'm aware that many TTG members are concerned about their grades. Here's a guide on how to study for a test properly so you'll ace it.

Step 1. Set yourself a goal. I aim for A+'s in all subjects, but thats just me

Step 2. Plan your time. Decide how long you'll be on TTG/YouTube/XBOX/PS3/Whatever else you do... always plan how long you will study. I do sports (Mainly Baseball) so I have to divide my time

Step 3. If you have some extra time, use it. It's always better to be over prepared for a test rather than unprepared. Don't be lazy and say "Ugh studying!?!?" If you want to ace it, sadly you'll have to put in some effort.

Step 4. Start in advance. If you're learning a topic in school and you're having trouble with it start studying then and there. But, don't kill yourself. Slow and steady wins the race. Ask your teachers for extra help. They will always say yes (Well, mine do anyways)

Step 5. Know how important the test is. If you are doing well in the subject of the midterm, and having trouble in the one with the quiz, DON'T UNDERESTIMATE THE MIDTERM. Most are about 20% of your final grade! Don't think you can fail one test and make it up. You can't. I know from experience

Step 6. Know what you're being tested on. Take all the mini assignments (worksheets, study guides, etc.) from the class your studying for and have them all at hand, if you study those you should ace your test. Most grade school kids have their sheets all in a folder, which is a great idea. An even greater idea is color coding your folders for your classes (ex: red for math, purple for history, blue for English, green for science, etc.) I do this, and i get Straight-A's!

Step 7. Look over everything, fix all your mistakes and try to think about what might be on the test. Make sure to put stars or a mark on that information. You can also highlight or underline useful information like I do. (Orange sharpies FTW!!)

Step 8. Make a study sheet on the computer or ask the teacher for one. But don't waste all your time making a worksheet. It should only take 5-10 minutes.

Step 9. Make a Review Sheet and give yourself mini tests. Study with a friend or a parent. (Not your dog though )

Step 10. Type up the questions and write the answers underneath them. Make up flash cards. Put the question on one side and the answer on the other side. You might also want to research your topic. If you'd like to use this information, the best thing to do is to print it. Once you've printed it, highlight and take notes on what you've collected that might be on the test. Don't write in complete sentences, as it is too time consuming and makes it harder to memorize. There are many flashcard making websites, like this one [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Step 11. Revise, summarize, review. You can either study this information, or sum it up by typing a report that includes everything that you think will be on the test.(Optional because this is very time consuming/lots of effort)

Step 12. Study in good place for you. You might like to go to a school library, where it is reasonably quiet, but you have the satisfaction that others are watching you study hard! Remember that while it may be pleasant to have some music playing in the background of your session, make sure the study session doesn't become an excuse to simply listen to music.(Rock/Rap is not suggested )

Step 13. Study these questions over and over again until you are sure you know them perfectly. You might even want to know the questions as well! My teachers love to put the questions that are in the Textbooks on the test!

Step 14. Quiz yourself inside your head, going over the questions and answers over and over. Do this step everywhere, while eating, while going on the computer, before going to sleep at night, even while on TTG!

Step 15. Make up a song or story that is going to get stuck in your head about the information. Its an easy way to know the information! (Don't sing it outloud, people will think your weird! I know from experience )

Step16. Either be ready, or ask for a blank study guide. Fill in the blanks just like you were taking a test, and check for mistakes when you are finished. This can be repeated many times and is a great way to learn tough information.(Like history )

Step 17. Find a method that works for you and don't let others distract or tease you over that. If that means listening to your study notes on your ipod or using goofy flash cards don't worry, you will do better on the test!

Step 18. Start studying early and often, then you won't be in a hurry and you will be prepared for a pop quiz.

Step 19. Review your vocabulary

Step 20. Never cram the night before or morning of the test. Take your time to practice and study with a good number of time. Also, make sure you use multiply examples on the subject and practice them over and over again. This is normally helpful in Math and Science.

Step 21. Reward yourself. It can help to have a reward to strive for in meeting your goal. Have rewards in place for study milestones and for achieved results, in increasing value to you. Like if you memorize something, reward yourself by 30 min.'s on TTG

Step 22. Get some sleep before the big day. This step is extremely important and cannot be skipped. Without sleep, your chances of doing well on the test fall extremely, because your brain can't focus on what it needs to.

Step 23. Eat properly. Good nutrition is important for optimal thinking. Try to stay away from high sugar and fatty foods such as ice-cream and cookies. Replace sweet sugary drinks with a cool glass of water or a fresh juice or milk. Or apple juice <3

Hope this helped!
