*This Will Work on 12625!

How to setup your Jtag to launch a different dash on start-up

Requirements

    Jtag with Xexmenu installed

    One of the following transfer methods: USB flash drive, FTP program, or Transfer cable

    FSD 2.0 rc 2.1 (I included an additoinal theme made by blackened dove)

    Dashlaunch 2.11

Edit Your launch.ini

Open launch.ini and use the following to setup which dashboard you want to load by default, simply copy and replace the setup to your liking. If you use the files I provided and change nothing it will load Freestyle dash by default.

[QuickLaunchButtons]
BUT_X = Hdd:\Content\0000000000000000\C0DE9999\00080000\C0DE99990F586558
Default = Hdd:\Freestyle\default.xex
[Settings]
nxemini = true
pingpatch = true

Retail dashboard
[QuickLaunchButtons]
BUT_X = Hdd:\Content\0000000000000000\C0DE9999\00080000\C0DE99990F586558
BUT_Y = Hdd:\Freestyle\default.xex
Default =
[Settings]
nxemini = true
pingpatch = true

pingpatch = true

Transfer Files to your Jtag via USB
Step 1
Download the links provided and place them on your USB flash drive, then move your USB flash drive to your Jtag and turn it on.

Step 2
Get to the xexmenu however you normally do.

When Xexmenu loads,

press RB on the xbox controller

press X

select Usb0 and push A

Should look like this
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Select Freestyle, press Y, select Copy and press A

Answer the questions to your liking, here is my setup,
Would you like to change settings? A - yes
Do you want to be able to relaunch from miniblade in NXE dash? B - no
Do you want to enable FBDev's ping limit patch? A - yes
Do you want to enable mojobojo's content unlock patch? B - no
Do you want the console to freeze on fatal errors? B - no
Do you want the console to reboot on fatal errors? A - yes
Do you want to enable ability to region spoof with RB on game launch? A - yes
When a default item is set and you playing a video, exit back to NXE? B - no
When you are playing an XBLA game and use the exit option, exit to NXE? B - no
Do you want to remove the ability to go to system settings via miniblades? B - no
Do you want to block the xbox from finding system updates? A - yes

As a safety precaution, I unplugged the xbox for the back of the console for 10 secs, like when swapping keyvaults, plugged it back in and turned the xbox on. It should now boot into Freestyle Dash by default.

I used

Retail dashboard
[QuickLaunchButtons]
BUT_X = Hdd:\Content\0000000000000000\C0DE9999\00080000\C0DE99990F586558
BUT_Y = Hdd:\FSD2\default.xex
Default =
[Settings]
nxemini = true
pingpatch = true

Changed Freestyle to FSD2 because my freestyle files are in there.
As far as I can tell, I need to place the ini file in hdd1:\installer\files. Run the installer and it will overwrite the ini in the flash partion.
Every time I boot, it boots to the nxe dash. I'm pushing either x or y as the top left light on the controller comes on. Do I need to continually push on the button, hold it constantly down, or when do I exactly start pushing the button and exactly how? I tried it all different way, still can't get it to work.

Thanks
