Ok so i have an Xbox Elite and a Normal Dvd Drive and a Spare Dvd Drive i was just wondering if i flashed the spare one could i swap the drives over. Just so i can use it when i am offline

no you cant swap the drives
it wont read any discs if you do

You would have to take the drive you are currently using and read the dvd key from it. Then you would have to flash the spare drive you have with IX LT plus and inject the xboxs dvd key into the spare drive. All of that is done at one time. "Flashing". Its very possible and very simple. Piece of advice though buddy, with the new dash update coming soon, I would just wait untill it releases then flash my xbox. Saves you from doing it twice. Even so, I would not use a different type of dvd drive if you use XBL. Even while you are offline. Example: Do not trade your toshiba-samsung drive out and put a spare Ben-Q dvd drive in. It can be easily detected and logged on your xbox to send to microsoft the next time you log into XBL. hope this clears up some issues. Good Luck

So i should just flash my original drive any way.
