Here is what you need to do.

1. Sign in on Xbox Live. Make sure it is the profile you are modding. This is not your modded gamertag profile, just your regular profile.
2. Start up Modern Warfare 2.
3. Go to the Xbox Live, Split Screen, and System Link page. (If you get a note that asks you to choose a device, pick the hard drive.
4. Sign out of your modded profile and sign into your modded name profile. It should be a name with weird letters.
5. Then pick an avatar. It will give you an error message. That is ok!
6. Click Xbox Live. You should get another error message. It will then make you sign into another profile.
7. Sign into your original profile.
8. Click Xbox Live. Your name should be modded.

If your modded name isn't in with your profiles, try again. Most likely you missed a step!

Yes, you can get banned for this. Once you're banned you will need to make a new account, because they only do perma bans for modding.
