EDIT: HAPPENS WITH EVERY GAME!

Well I was on the Xbox dashboard and then I click start to play Black Ops.
When it gets to the load up screen it comes up all the random letters etc before it gives you the main menu; I get disconnected from Xbox Live so I cannot play online.

When I try to connect to online while on Black Ops main menu it says "Cannot connect to XBL" or whatever but when I dashboard it - it lets me onto XBL.

Can somebody help me fix this? +100REP

Clean your disk and reset your internet. Hope it helped

Your probably banned from Black ops, did you do something modded on it?!

This happend to me!! Disconnect your router and wait 10 mins and plug it back in worked for me hope it helped!

No I havent done anything.
I have been banned before and nothing happens like that - It just doenst let me play multiplayer when you are banned

Restart your router and xbox and see if that works then!

if someone else plays on your xbox then it might of had to update an then they skipped it. it clearly says everytime. "if you do not accept the update you will not be able to play on live" hope this helped. im not sure if you can do the update option again.
