Well at first idk I just wanted to recover the account to have it on my xbox again...But then I found out there was a way to sign in on the dashboard. Well with that I went to my download history and re-downloaded some old stuff like map packs, arcade games, ect.!

Okay I see a lot of people are saying this works. The reason I'm trying to recover my banned account is because I need to get to Halo 3/Reach films that are saved under the account. I'm kind of a noob and wasn't able to get it to work.

I follow all the steps, load the profile, click Recovering and then Save. I close out Horizon and USB Xtaf. Plug my USB back into the Xbox and try and sign in and it immediately says "Your profile was not completely recovered. Please recover it again from Xbox Live".

Edit: Okay I was able to get it to work, however I can not access the film files from either Halo 3 or Reach. Also when I look at the files on my HDD they no longer show up as belonging to my banned profile, they know show up under Unknown Profile. I'm beginning to think this is a lost cause.

I'm sure people will find this useful. I probably won't ever use it since I sold my xbox a month ago. Even then I did not doing anything to break Microsofts (TOS) to get banned lol
