I have just downloaded the CS4 photoshop portable and it wont let me use it.When i open it it says "you are not allowed to write to the registry. Continue anyway?" I press ok and then nothing happens.

Are you running it as an administrator?

Well it should because I had the same issue you're having.

But I saw somewhere on the internet (forgot where.) to run it as an administrator so I did it, and it's worked fine.

I've made images, avatars, saved everything and it's never crashed or come up with any error message.

So just right click > run as administrator.

That should work. And I run it as administrator every time, just to be sure.

You'd have to either have the password, or be an admin.

Did you get the portable CS4 (.Hancock.) ?

Just to let you know if it won't let you use the paint brush etc. And stays as the little hand then just tap the space bar
