just a article released today n i thoought of sharing it to people who may have not read already

Sony is staying quiet Tuesday on the breach that has kept its PlayStation Network out of commission since last Wednesday.

The last time the company revealed details on the status of PSN was in the form of a post on the official PlayStation blog stating they had no timeframe for when the network would be back online. Last week, Sony revealed it took PSN offline to deal with an "external intrusion."

Sony has yet to address whether PSN subscribers' personal data has been compromised.

PC World reports Kaz Hirai, Sony Computer Entertainment President, did not discuss the outage during an event unveiling the company's new tablet PCs.

Meanwhile, designers from a pair of smaller game studios working with Sony are talking about the fallout from an offline PSN.

In an interview with Industry Gamers, Dylan Cuthbert of Q-Games -- the studio behind the popular PixelJunk series -- expressed concern over the financial impact.

"PSN being out definitely affects our bottom line, but as long as the people who were going to be playing Shooter 2 and other PixelJunk titles will get right back in there playing them when it comes back up we'll be happy and hopefully income won't be dented too much," Cuthbert tells Industry Gamers.

Meanwhile, over at IGN, Open Emotion Studios CEO Paddy Murphy says Sony offered additional promotional support for title Mad Blocker Alpha, slated for release last week.

"As long as they can give us some marketing assistance when the PSN is back up, we are sure we will be able to recoup our potential losses," Murphy tells IGN.

Game Hunters will keep you posted as more updates become available.
