It won't allow you online.

Just because the consoles are unbanned,doesn't mean you can by-pass the side server that was set in place to keep Jtags offline.

If you had a banned Jtag and try to connect,congrats,you will now have,once again,a banned Jtag.

@ OP,if it asked you to update your dashboard,you were not connected to Xbox Live,you simply communicated with the server which recognized you were on an older dash.

You were not on Xbox Live,and if you accept that update you will brick your console.

Just use family settings to block live access and save you the trouble.
