A social engineer is one who tries to influence popular attitudes, social behaviors, and resource management on a large scale. Social engineering is the application of the scientific method for social concern. Social Engineers use the methods of science to analyze and understand social systems, so as to arrive at appropriate decisions as scientists, and not as politicians. The major difference between politicians and social engineers is that scientists base decisions on careful evaluations and objectivity without differential advantage. In the political arena, the counterpart of social engineering is political engineering.
Decision-making can affect the safety and survival of literally billions of people. As expressed by German Sociologist Ferdinand Tnnies in his study The Present Problems of Social Structure,[1] society can no longer operate successfully using outmoded methods of social management. To achieve the best outcomes, all conclusions and decisions must use the most advanced techniques and include reliable statistical data, which can be applied to a social system. In other words, Social Engineering is a data-based scientific system used to develop a sustainable design so as to achieve the intelligent management of Earths resources with the highest levels of freedom, prosperity, and happiness within a population. You could basically talk them into giving you free stuff. Things you could do this for:

Controller
Headset
ChatPad
Hard Drive
Any accesory made by MS.


The possibilities are endless.

Step 1:
Call MS, 1-800-4-MYXBOX

Step 2:
Get a service rep and tell them X isn't working. Make up an excuse
Some good ones are:
Controller - The Left stick gets stuck and doesn't click.
ChatPad - The H and N key get stuck.
HDD - Auto deletes gamesaves from Black Ops.
Headset - Echo all of the time.

TIP: Make sure your excuse is good. Because if they ask you to send it in and your excuse is the controller doesn't work at all, you should have no problem sending it in. If you use an excuse from the above, you could say I still need to use it, until the new one comes.

Step 3:
If they ask you to send the item in, say you still need to use it and you can't go without it for the next few days. Make up a sob story, this worked great for the XBL Vision Cam, I said that my dad was in Iraq and I was talking to him on XBL Vision.

Step 4:
If the rep buys the excuse they should ask you your info. Give them real info, as they will be shipping it there.

Step 5:
If you failed, hang up and try again. If you get the same rep, hang up and call again. If you succeeded, then congrats! You got a free item. Later. Rinse. Repeat.
