Once the friend downloads his profile back you won't have the dlc.

okay is simple. Go to Dashboard , Go to My Xbox. Go right once. Press A . Then Go down until you see Manage Account. Then You will see Download History.. Then Go onto it. And look for the Map pack on His Download history. and Download it. and You will Have it free.. ;) Ps I believe this will Work. Because They will be on download history hope it helped/worked

This would only work if you kept his account and used it to play, otherwise it will not work as it is locked to your console's IDs upon purchase. an easier solution would be
1.Get friend with points
2.Use his account and buy the pack on your Xbox
3.Let him recover his account and re-download.

As long as you have the pack on the console you purchased it on, or the account you bought it with, it will work for you both.

I can tell you with absolute certainty that this does not work, but it's always been this way. It's not just because of a recent patch.

These are the people who can play a specific piece of DLC:

1) The person who originally purchased it, because they can download it and play it anywhere.
2) Any gamertag on the original console where the content was downloaded (aka where the license exists)

If you go to a friend's house and recover your gamertag on his/her 360, the content can only be played when you are signed in. As soon as you move your account anywhere else, your friend won't be able to play it with their gamertag.

DLC is tied to the gamertag that purchased it, as well as their "home console" where the license exists. Any gamertag on the licensed console can play the content. On any other console, only the gamertag that purchased the content can play it.

the deal is you your license would remain on your friends xbox so you can only play the maps when your on live.

Can't you use a usb or transfer cable and open the dlc in modio then rehash/resign with your own consol id and profile id? just an idea not sure wether or not it will work but worth a try!!
