Of all ways to potentially get some kind of revenge, I highly doubt that would be on their mind, I think they would want to steer people away from the game, not give a reason to play it...

That wouldn't happen. This is their baby, they wouldn't want to ruin it for the gaming community. They'll be making games again in no time. And hopefully they win this lawsuit and can continue to get their royalties for this game.

It wasn't a typo.
IW planned to make extensions to those pesky kills on a new update.
I believe they planed to make 4 10,000 kills around the same time the map pack came out.
As of right now, you're completely correct. I just tried this aswell, you're right.
I will guarantee they'll be making a 5,000 kill mark sometime soon.

I'm not acting suprised, lots of things have been promised, lots of things have not been delivered.
In my honest opinion, mw2 was at it's best after javelin patch.
Snipers 1 shot, models were decent ( or over powered ) knifing classes were fun, etc.
I believe mw2 has only 1 direction to go now, and I doubt that's up
