Yeah, in Tennessee. We did it a lot. We found an ammo box, a yahtzee cup, and a canteen. We put in some old coins, signed a list, etc.

Used to do it alot when I lived in the states. Was pretty hard until they turned off the SA for civilian GPS's. If you used a GPS. Its great fun on the weekends. Without a GPS its a great tool in teaching people basic orienteering. Just make sure you have things to put in the cache.
