Well seeing how geohot has just close to winning the case against Sony we should be looking at a ps3 3.60 jb able to run files manager and ftP servers has a better chance now

do you even read what sources say?
each offense geohot acts against sony, he gets a 10k fine, if he releases, it can go upto 250k.
he definitely won't be making the jailbreak, if anyone.

no 3.60 fw yet, but it is not out of reach. karakoto says he will release a jailbreak when the firmware is worth jailbreaking

he can make it just have someone else distribute it and make that person give it to people. that way we wont know who make the jailbreak.. duhh

i had the same question and i had no geohot was not going to releases a 3.60 but you might be able to downgrade

You will not able to jailbreak your PlayStation for a while! What anonymous did was make PlayStation change their security. They have a whole new firmware that is completely different.
I hope it happens, but not anytime soon..
