I managed to get all the numbers right(with great difficulty and a lot of trial and error) and nothing, happened i was doing this when looking for the golden rod, so maybe this combination step happens later on?

how do you know that? the solo achievement didnt require them but id put money on the co-op achievement needing this info.

Just wondering with Richtofen saying you need an "octave", when you turn the dials a noise is emitted and it gets higher with every number, also how many of those silver metal round things are there? because they emit certain notes as well, since an octave is 8 different notes maybe you have to press all of them at the same time whilst having the other notes of the octave set on the dials, that's if there are 4 of those metal silver things.
