AWESOME!
I was going to paint my slim (I have it dis assembled, but I know I'm going to mess up)
How did you you get the paint to stick and not run off on the smooth surface?

hi there thanks for the reply!!

you will need to rub down the surface first with a 1000 grit not anything less than this as you will stat to create scratch marks in the plastic you do this just to give the primer something to hold to, use a couple of light coats of primer
also its best to wet and dry between each coat once dry to remove any impurities and level the field of work...
let dry fully for 24 hours before you apply the first coat of colour and remember to wet and dry between coats

use light coats of paints this is quite time consuming and i know its all to eager to slap ya paints on to get it finished but take ya time and the outcome will be ohhh sooo much better

if you want to know anything just ask i have been doing these for years now with plenty of happy customers!!

Ok, thanks for the reply.
One more thing, you don't happen to know how to install LED's do you? I have searched for ages and I finally attempted it the other day and it just blew 8 good LED's

heh no worries here for all!

yer to be honest i can and over time changes stack loads of them

tools needed: soldering iron with a fine tip
: lead solder (the lead free is usless)
: more leds (lol)
: fine point tweezers
: a steady hand

there are tuts on liamma's site if you know it that are quite helpfull
the thing is with these leds you need to be carefull
A,not to melt the clear top to the 603 smd
B,carefull with the track on the board (i was teaching my friend how to do these and he trashed a controller in the process)

you need to slowly heat the solder on each side by moving from one point to the other if you dab a little solder on to the excisting it helps remove all the solder
once warm enough the 603 will simply slide free

apply the new 603's by dabbing back on a little solder to the contact points on the board
use the tweezers to hold the 603 in and the right way round just above the solder point
you will want to dab at the solder with your iron while gently moving the led into place
same for the other side

just be gentle and patient and let the magic happen!!
