When I was browsing through a variety of forums, I stumbled upon the morse code translations, or whatever in regards to the radios. Apparently they spell out VRIL, which made no sense until I started hunting online for more info.
In the link I provided there is a picture of the golden rod found in the map, as well a whack load of info that essentially ties in all the back story, especially with regards to group 935 and the search for element 115.
Google anything and everything if your interested, there's a ton of really cool info if you're into the back story.
Nazi mysticism? Inter dimensional travel? sound familiar???????

I found another website that apparently sells the VRIL generators/staff. Anybody feel like owning their own golden rod? I may just get one myself, it sounds pretty awesome.

I really want to spread this info. This is huge stuff with regards to the backstory. I just want to start people thinking about the story connections. They even said in the description for the level, that they were trying to find the origins of element 115. Well this VRIL staff/generator is very much connected. Let's crack this story wide open!!!!!
