Move your router/hub towards whatever you using for internet and also make sure your not using anything else on the internet like iPods or other Computers

If you could just move the wifi connection into the room and let the other ones suffer! But other than that no man there isn't another way to get a better connection unless you can connect to another wifi Hot Spot next door?

Just read something online about a wifi repeater. I read I can plug that into an outlet in between my room and the wireless router and it strengthens the signal. Is that true? and if it is true, any suggestions on wifi repeaters?

Yeah that is true I just read up on that and yes it extends your wireless connection. I would invest in one of those for better connection!

Yea I definitely need to. I always have a 3 bar when trying to play CoD online and its getting really annoying it looks like it is definitely worth it.

I would purchase it and good luck on if you get it man and hope for a better connection! Also there is a few pointers if you have a lot of ipods or other things that is connected to your wifi it will slow it down and make it really weak.

as nice and convenient wifi is, if you want a good computer connection, then use ethernet, but if you still would like to use wifi, try adding another WAP closer to you.

Yes I have the WiFi Range Expander! It seriously does help out a bit but not the best. It could probably help you out perfectly with what you are explaining, though.

you could try powerline (from netgear)

you plug the device into an outlet near your router, put a cable from it to your router.

then take the other device to your room and plug it into the wall outlet, then connect a cable from it to your computer and then you will have internet just as if you were connected through wiring.

it might give you better speeds then wireless, and also you wil always have a connection that way and dont have to worry about a signal.


now if that doesnt seem interesting to you, you also could go buy a cheap router that is compliable (will work with) your other router, and you could forward the signal to it, so the 2nd router you buy could act has a "signal enchancer" to provide more coverage in your home.
