Uhhhh yeah tried jailbreaking mine but it wouldn't work because it kept going into restore mode thing. Like where you can't use it til you restore it. I used limrain. I have an iPod 4 th gen. I don't have any advise but if some one could help me that'd be great.

Make Sure you iPod is plugged into you computer
Step 1 turn you iPod off
Step 2 hold the power button for 2 seconds
Step 3 hold both power button and he irgun together for another 10seconds
Step 4 let go of the power button and keep holding the home button for another 15 seconds
You know when your in DFU mode because iTunes will pop up and say that it's detected an iPod in recovery mode!
Hope i Helped

Also just to add on, if your ipod is showing the apple sign with a cord, then it most likely is in DFU mode

Sorry to correct this but if it has a apple sign and a cord it means it's in recovery mode not DFU mode
