Me trying to repair with solder and 30awg wire

:FACEPALM: (traces are carbon and just burn instantly on touch even with 15w iron

OK THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN

does anybody know where i can get xbox s facelates with the ribbon cable?
or would i have to buy a faulty one of ebay and take the face off it?

uhhh ya best thing to do is buy a new xbox on ebay cheap take faceplate then just do anything with the xbox.. but idk i will try to find u a way but if u need anymore help on xbox repairs i repair xbox's good gonna make shop soon for like painting and more lol but u need anymore help on this or anything else pm me ok!. im gonna ask some friends if they know any other way! so i will try to help as much as i can! okay

ive seeen a couple faulty one on ebay for about 20 and i might get one, since nobody makes just the faceplates yet, if the conductive clue dosent work

hey there!! go to the website for 'consolewerks' they sell slim parts i think its about 35 for a new faceplate.

well it 40 and its a matte finsish and the xbox is a gloss so it wondnt match,

plus i can get a faulty gloss slime for about 25-35 and have loads of part spare

so nice notifing me i can get parts but if solder glue dosent work i will buy a whole one

fair dooos matey...have you tried stripping back the green/blue kinda looking plastic from the contact? i think a soldering iron will be waaaayyyy to hot for it but just an idea for ya

yeah if you read the post i tried that but it is carbon traces and burns instantly, so ive bought conductive clue and gonna try that

If you already have the controller synced to your xbox, you don't need the face plate.
