Could the next installment in the Call of Duty series be revealed next month?
It seems a scan of the ad for next months Official PlayStation Magazine in this months issue of said magazine shows that the inevitable title will be formally announced and named next month within its pages, though its likely we will see a press release around the same time as the magazine ships for those outlets who are not print magazines (that would be us!).
The game is currently rumoured to be set in Vietnam as it has been a somewhat neglected conflict in the realm of videogames, especially modern first person shooters. At this point it is also up in the air as to who is exactly developing the game, are there are now three seperate studios working on Call of Duty products: Sledgehammer games, Treyarch and series creator Infinity Ward. After the recent events at Infinity Ward, it is doubtful they are developing COD 7, which leaves new kids on the block Sledgehammer and Treyarch.
Given Treyarch’s previous cycle of alternating years with Infinity Ward and 2009 being the latters year, 2010 should be Treyarch’s for the taking – but of course, only time will tell!

Hopefully they've got a good storyline. I always enjoy CoD's storylines. 8)

CoD7 is more than likely going to be announced at E3 which is in about 8 weeks

Y is this from a playstation mag, i thought no more cods were coming out on PS3? I might be wrong but thats what i got told 8)

Well if it's gonna be based on the Vietnam war they can't really make up the whole thing like the MW2 story line XD

CoD have millions of PS3 users as well so why would they stop making CoD games for them and lose out on lots of money?
