Installing Games from DVD in xexmenu problems. please helpPosted:

So i recieved my jtag today... good times.
I have managed to get my external USB drive working (having had to reformat it again for some wierd reason), and it picks up my games on there ok and will play them. So far so good...
Problem is, the games on there at the moment are from an ISO on my pc (extracted it and copied the files/folders accross), but when i try to rip a game from its original disk onto their, it wont work.
First i tried portal 2. Which seemed to work ok, but when its done i go onto the games screen on xexmenu and it freezes. i restart the xbox and it looks like its in there ok. i select it to play and it just freezes up on black screen and i have to restart my xbox I tried it again incase didnt rip right but same problem.
Secdonly i tried Black Ops. Now this one wouldnt even begin to rip. i made the folder to store it into, selected the Copy DVD option (cant remember exact text on it) and it just backs out to the folder view again and an empty folder. im lost
Im now trying halo reach but im not very optimistic.
Could someone advise me on whats going wrong please? And how to solve the Portal 2 and black ops problems? Bopth disks are in good condition without scratches/smudges on them

to ri[ a game to the xex menu
you must go to install game (disc tray comes out)
put the game in and put it back in yourself via the button!
only click install game when the disc starts spinning, then it will work properly

i dont mean to soun rude, but i didnt ask HOW to rip games.i already said i have done it with halo. but im having problems with some games, thats what im asking for help on

Sounds like the disc may be scratched or something..
If you are trying to rip and it goes right back to the xexmenu screen, than you need to try the method above with manually closing it
