I had successfully jtagged a Xenon motherboard with the 12625 and all was well. I installed xex menu and freestyle dash, and set it all up how I wanted it. Then I rebooted my 360. All was well, but when I went into freestyle dash I was prompted with an update. I of course proceeded with the update. All was well. I then rebooted the 360 again, and it had the e79 error.
Now it's been a month or two since I've messed with this 360, and I finally got my nand-x from teamxecuter today. I jtagged a different console no problem, so I decided to break out the ol' corrupted e79 jtag again. I installed the nand-x and double checked everything, but for some reason I can't seem to read or write from the motherboard.
I had at one point got it to read, but every single block had an error of course as it was e79 from a corrupted update. I tried to write to it but it says could not detect flash controller. I reseated all the chips from the nand-x kit, and tried again with the same result. Also, it will not power on at all after this.
Is this 360 dead? Is there anything else I could try?

Erase NAND, write xellous. Use CPU key to make a donor image

Just flash back the original NAND image you extracted... hope that you saved it.
See whether or not you can boot Xell/Xellous. If you cant, you unfortunately will have to solder to your NAND points to flash
