Just for future reference, chances are you increased the earth potential on the console, hence the static drained over several days.
You get a similar issue in transit using bubble wrap.
One little trick which took me ages to work out is this.
If using a Nand - X that is connected to large systems or systems without clean earths, DO NOT hook up the yellow earth wire to the motherboard.
I found that this completely stops this issue occuring, hence I never ever connect the yellow Nand-X cable to the motherboard.
When it does happen, it can take 1-7 days to completely drain a unit.
Also use newspaper to pack consoles. Do not use anything plastic unless it is certified static-free such as the original xbox clear bag. This is why they use it.

im sure this is a no brainer but did you run the nand on the disk through flashtool to see if it is even exploitable? some 7371 are not.

help is appreciated but do read through the last post's, it has been solved, and seriously; if a console can get xellous onto it then it is obviously exploitable....
