Kinda along the same lines as what overl0rd2012 said but.... they are making a ton of cash off these map packs so as long as the amount of people buying them brings in more profit then the cost to develop them its a winning situation for them so the map packs will continue and as for the 3 month gap between the map packs my guess is that when they figure the hype dies down and the sale of the old map pack starts declining significantly of course they wont release a map pack sooner or it would effect the sales of the previous one.......for the younger fans out there picture the map pack as a juice box where the juice is the cash flow to treyarc you dont open a new juice box when the first one is still half full you wait untill its empty(i.e. sales are significantly down) to move on to the new juice box full of delicious money........ long story short expect atleast 1 if not 2 or 3 more map packs to arrive for Black ops even after the new MW comes out :arrow:

Activation owns the developers that make call of duty and would not let dlc stifle the sales of the newer game, I enjoy that your cocky about understanding simple supply and demand

DLC will not effect a new game release.... people are gunna buy a new game if they like that game no matter what lol dont matter if its the same company that made it, i know tons of people that play waw and not black ops cause they dont like black ops same basic idea if they released a waw map pack they would buy it still, it comes down to how much of the games players leave black ops to play the new mw if they feel they can still make money off a map pack they will still release it plain and simple

Please look back on Call of Duty 5 for a second - everyone wanted new map packs after MW2 was released, but we didn't get any until Black Ops.

In my opinion we'll see one new map pack and then have a whole year to wait. The last map should be a cracker, hopefully!

Another thing - if Treyarch decline the offer to take on the job of making Call of Duty 9 then we could definitely see lots of map packs coming out instead during the MW3's "reign", but I dunno.
