Dude, that sucks, I think you could possibly do the usb method once it is put on xbox.com

Try to put it on VIA Transfer Cable or USB Drive. It will maybe be on there later.

As they said USB would work and does your console try to connect? If so then it might force the Xbox to receieve the update!

If you put the update on your Xbox yourself then your going to have to wait until release date before you can connect back to live. 8)

People people, just go to Video Marketplace and then Netflix and then it will say Update Required to connect to xboxlive

As reported by some this does work, but is not entirely true. I have tried this way numerous times and all I get is an activation code for netflix; So whether your netflix needs to be activated or not i don't know but with this being said it's not false info, but it doesn't work for everyone.

On topic: You are on a leaked dash of 13142 with no Xbox live access, Correct?

What you may want to try from present - May 30th is testing your connection on the dashboard, because even though you have no Xbox live access you should have a connection to the internet i'd presume as this is required for the update. If you have internet access while testing your connection on the dashboard it should/will then notice their is an update available then at that time you can update to the publicly released version dashboard. (Best of luck as this may or may not work)

Yes this is correct, i have internet access but no xbox live, i cannot even get on to video marketplace to try the netflix technique, i will continue to try everyday and hopefully i get it sorted. thank you to everyone who contributed!
