These kind of topics are so redundant...

Ok. Where to begin? First of all, about 80% of these posts contain logical fallacies (especially Ad Hominem and Non-Sequitur) to back up their "proof." (For those that don't know, Ad Hominem is "to the man," which means that one is attacking the person rather than the issue at hand; Non-Sequitur means that one is using irrelevant connections in place of solid facts.)

Religion:
Religion is almost entirely based off of belief. In fact, "religion" is essentially defined as "The belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power." Unfortunately, you can't obtain unbiased evidence from faith alone. Additionally, there are hundreds of religions around the world, all of which have varying beliefs and ideals. Why, then, is the single God in the Christian faith the only possibility? What about the idea of reincarnation believed in Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, Sikhism, and many other religions around the globe? Why is that not plausible, since it is also based upon faith, like Christianity? Also consider the numerous religions (Hinduism, Paganism, Asatru, etc.) that center around the concept of polytheism, or multiple deities. Are they also wrong?

Science:
Religious advocates have a point when they ask how the first, original particle of matter was formed in the universe. The law of conservation of mass claims that "matter can neither be created nor destroyed but only transformed." But how was matter itself created? The Big Bang Theory attempts to explain how the universe was formed, but what caused the initial spark that led to this explosion of such immense proportions? If matter cannot be created, then how was something made from nothing? It almost lends to the idea that a supernatural deity had to give the universe a little "push," if you will, to start the chain of events that have resulted in the world and beyond as we know it today.

Conclusion:
I'm not not claiming to be a biblical-science expert. I just want to stress that it is impossible to know whose theories or beliefs are actually factual. We simply do not possess the tools required as a race to understand the mysteries of the afterlife or the possibility of a higher supernatural power. Remember that when posting "Godz real, cuz he just is" threads in the future. They always comprise of false information or facts derived from belief alone and never end up with one side of the debate actually "winning." At this point in time, it is simply impossible to know whether or not a "God" exists.
