God is the English name given to a singular being in theistic and deistic religions (and other belief systems) who is either the sole deity in monotheism, or a single deity in polytheism.[1]
God is most often conceived of as the supernatural creator and overseer of the universe. Theologians have ascribed a variety of attributes to the many different conceptions of God. The most common among these include omniscience (infinite knowledge), omnipotence (unlimited power), omnipresence (present everywhere), omnibenevolence (perfect goodness), divine simplicity, and eternal and necessary existence.
God has also been conceived as being incorporeal (immaterial), a personal being, the source of all moral obligation, and the "greatest conceivable existent".[1] These attributes were all supported to varying degrees by the early Jewish, Christian and Muslim theologian philosophers, including Maimonides,[2] Augustine of Hippo,[2] and Al-Ghazali,[3] respectively. Many notable medieval philosophers and modern philosophers developed arguments for the existence of God.[3] Many notable philosophers and intellectuals have, in contrast, developed arguments against the existence of God.

BIG BANG
The Big Bang model or theory is the prevailing[1] cosmological theory of the early development of the universe. According to the Big Bang model, the universe was originally in an extremely hot and dense state that expanded rapidly. This expansion caused the universe to cool and resulted in the present diluted state that continues to expand today. Based on the best available measurements as of 2010, the original state of the universe existed around 13.7 billion years ago,[2][3] which is often referred to as the time when the Big Bang occurred.[4][5] The theory is the most comprehensive and accurate explanation supported by scientific evidence and observations.[6][7]
Monsignor Georges Lematre, a priest from the Catholic University of Louvain, proposed what became known as the Big Bang theory of the origin of the universe, he called it his "hypothesis of the primeval atom". The framework for the model relies on Albert Einstein's general relativity and on simplifying assumptions (such as homogeneity and isotropy of space). The governing equations had been formulated by Alexander Friedmann. In 1929, Edwin Hubble discovered that the distances to far away galaxies were generally proportional to their redshifts an idea originally suggested by Lematre in 1927. Hubble's observation was taken to indicate that all very distant galaxies and clusters have an apparent velocity directly away from our vantage point: the farther away, the higher the apparent velocity.[8]
If the distance between galaxy clusters is increasing today, everything must have been closer together in the past. This idea has been considered in detail back in time to extreme densities and temperatures,[9][10][11] and large particle accelerators have been built to experiment on and test such conditions, resulting in significant confirmation of the theory, but these accelerators have limited capabilities to probe into such high energy regimes. Without any evidence associated with the earliest instant of the expansion, the Big Bang theory cannot and does not provide any explanation for such an initial condition; rather, it describes and explains the general evolution of the universe since that instant. The observed abundances of the light elements throughout the cosmos closely match the calculated predictions for the formation of these elements from nuclear processes in the rapidly expanding and cooling first minutes of the universe, as logically and quantitatively detailed according to Big Bang nucleosynthesis.
Fred Hoyle is credited with coining the term Big Bang during a 1949 radio broadcast. It is popularly reported that Hoyle, who favored an alternative "steady state" cosmological model, intended this to be pejorative, but Hoyle explicitly denied this and said it was just a striking image meant to highlight the difference between the two models.[12][13][14] Hoyle later helped considerably in the effort to understand stellar nucleosynthesis, the nuclear pathway for building certain heavier elements from lighter ones. After the discovery of the cosmic microwave background radiation in 1964, and especially when its spectrum (i.e., the amount of radiation measured at each wavelength) was found to match that of thermal radiation from a black body, most scientists were fairly convinced by the evidence that some version of the Big Bang scenario must have occurred.

Stoopid wrote The Big Bang Theory in a nutshell.

There was nothing but quarks, electrons and protons, inside a space smaller than a grapefruit.
And then it expanded. :coffee:

fixed for you
No problem.

Let's say there isn't a God.

How was the universe created? Like the things that caused the Big Bang.

Where did they come from?

Yes I believe, but I am not being a smart ass.

I really want to know what scientists think.

What started it all?

It's weird to think about

You can think about it for years ; IF God created the earth think about this. God Created Clouds?? > What Created God so that he can make Clouds?

You can't really ask that question because the same thing can be asked about God. Where did he come from?
The answer you get from religious people is 'you've just got to have belief'
Well sorry, but I can't believe in something has no proof. Big bang is the closest thing to proof that we have for the beginning of the universe, so I believe in that.

how could god have been the creator when the earth existed 2.7 billion years before him and an atom formed then became a spec of dust then eventually boom everything

That's what I think.

Sure there were particles that caused this "Big Bang" but where did these neurons and such come from?

If you don't think it was God, then I'm stumped. :russianroulette:

I'll answer for you.
I'm not flaming so try not to flame back

Basically, there were quarks, electrons and protons. From somewhere but nobody knows. Similar to how god could of been created.
Then suddenly there was intense pressure as the atom sized universe expanded in a fraction of a second into a grapefruit sized universe. Then eventually the protons and electrons made compounds into hydrogen (i think) then it kind of went from there.

this is helpful if you want a better explanation or info.

every one, he is not asking if you think he is real, he wants some proof that he is real, saying that "he is real becuase i know he is real" thats not proof, thats an opinion. just show some proof.
