Hello TTG I dont know if there is any tutorials for this on here yet, but I will insure that mine is very detailed, and stay active on the thread to answer any questions.
Please note:You must bypass to do this mod!
Step one: Go on to Cod4 and start a new game. Once you can hit start, save the game and quit back to the playstation dashboard.
Step two: Go to your saved data utility(ps3)and copy the savegame over to your flash drive.
Step three: Download notepad++ at
http://notepad-plus-plus.org/release/5.9
Step four: You will see a bunch of code in both the MP and the CM files. Highlight and delete them all.
Step five: Now to add the mod's. I will provide you with a very good mod menu that I personally use but you can search around for the codes, they are everywhere.
Put this in CM:

Step 6:Save the files and safely remove your USB and plug it back into your PS3.
Step 7:Copy the file back to your ps3 and go to Network Connections.
Step 8: This is where EliteMossy's patch blocker comes in. It can be located
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Step 9: Open the patch blocker and look at the ip address,now go back to your play station and go through your network settings until you get to "Proxy server" and select use.
Step 10:Now where it says "Ip adress" type what it says on the patch blocker. Make sure the port is 8080 and click "Start blocking"
Step 11: Save the settings and test connection, if it succedes then you are bypassed. Now go to your game data utility and delete the cod 4 patch.
Step 12: Load up a split screen and play with the new mod menu that you have! It will work online.

Lol you should read the whole thing, Shane_clare might of used the same method but this tutorial was eniterly created by me. I did no copying or pasting.
Edit, I will give the website some credit because thats where I found the EliteMossy patch blocker in the first place. But I did not in any way copy/paste.

My apologies, when you first look at them both they look oddly similar but upon a further read of both of them I noticed a few key differences. None-the-less, you did pick up on this info from him.
