its overheating?
just let it cool down and if that doesnt work you may need a reflow or a reball

yeah, i have an additional fan on top. What would putting a screwdriver in them do exactly? Stop the fan?

DONT DO THAT!!! that will damage your gpu more then it is now......

reflow the GPU and CPU. old jtagged xbox's without upgraded fans always have problems with this sort of thing. don't use it as much when you get it fixed
