Hello there, now. I know this has probally already been discussed a million times. But I may as well open it back up.
As good as the gameplay from Battlefield 3 looks, I am afraid. I will not be able to ''beat'' Call of Duty. No matter how hard it tries. The problem lies in how massivly big the Call of Duty franchise is. A new game will just get people interested, even if they didn't enjoy MW2. They will at least buy it, say it's rubbish and sell it. It's when people try it, it gets pushed to number one in the stores. Families, Girlfriends, Boyfriends and what not will then purchase this game for their beloved for christmas (if they didn't already get it) and it will remain number one. That is in no way saying it will be better.
What are youre thoughts on this?

I think battlefield will be better, personally I have preferred the Bad company series to the COD Series, i think the gameplay is better, more realistic and you don't get as many stupid things happen. MW3 will probably be a good game and yes I will buy it but I will be getting battlefield 3 first

I play the Modern Warfare series purely to try get nice clips for montages, and attempt to enjoy myself. I will be buying MW3 ASAP. But I will try to get BF3 too, looks insane.

Ok, lets put it this way. In about 36 hours the CoD reveal trailer has almost 4,000,000 views. Now no Battlefield video has over 2,500,000 views, in 3 months. no doubt in my mind MW3 will win this year.

It's crazy how many times my mates are saying that Battlefield 3 will completely wipe CoD off the radar... It might, but in like another two or three years from now if they continue to create games.

Just because something is more popular doesn't mean it's better...
This thread isn't about how ''good'' this game will be. It's about the charts, and how people say BF3 will wipe out CoD...
