first of all i must say that i cant believe no one has tried this ...


step 1 :

remove ps3 harddrive

part 3

get a usb hardrive like seagate free agent go take it apart replace seagate hardrive with ps3 one
connect to computer

format to fat32

take out of free agent go usb piece

put hardrive back in ps3

put 3.55 or any update wanted onto a usb drive PS3/UPDATE/.pup file

install and enjoy any questions please ask . you can find the download links yourself ... just use google...

it works .. i just did it myself with a 320 gig i also formatted anouther hard drive and insalled rebug on it. so no i can switch between hardrives and have ofw on one and cfw on the other only problem is is taking 30 seconds to swap hardrives

this dosnt work because the ps3 dosnt boot up without a HDD il post a pic with the error
EDIT: "cannot Start. The correct hard disk was not found"

The firmware is not stored on thee hdd.
Its inbuilt into the motherboard noob

im not posting a video idont need to do it again. ive done this . and you are all wrong it is not saved on the NAND not the motherboard ( ****) , it is saved on the harddrive. and i never said to boot up your ps3 without the **** harddrive in it are you **** stupid ? why do you think it wont boot without the harddrive **** head ... if you dont believe me then **** you all ... i try to help th community and this is how im thanked a bunch of flamers who think the always right ? **** you
