internet provider you have.
Some of the older Dsl internet will do that depending
on how many users near you with the same internet connection are useing the bandwith up,
I personally got tired of being disconected right in the middle of a match and half way through typeing a long forum post.
So i upgraded to fios 25Mbs, now i wont say to upgrade to fio's, becuase it may have nothing to do with your internet provider, but it has helped me out a lot, with faster internet speeds and better conectivity.
You may need to reset your router as some other members have suggested, becuase after a while your internet conection speed will slow down for what ever the reason maybe.
If resetting your router doesnt work, then id suggest, calling up your internet provieder and asking for help, they are their to help and anwser with more trooble shooting steps, you may also consult with google, and see if the search brings up a way to help.
Srry my post is long so im gonna shorten this up,
If you continue to have this issue then you may need to try and save what your righting, before you post it just in case your internet goes out.

That's what I had to do, this use to happen to me all the time.

Somebody could be hitting you offline of u have very laggy connection also if ur on like 3 laptops and a xbox or something u might get disconnected if u have a wireless adpater it could be unpluged a little or even a wired one

Your IP address cannot just "not work" because it's not the IP address that is doing anything. An IP literally is the identity of the router/modem and that is it.
