Hi, can some explain to me the purpose of hot swapping? I can load a game to my hard drive and play from the hard drive when I have the disk in the drive, why hotswap? Why go to the trouble of changing an original disk for a backup using the hot swap if you have to have the original in the DVD drive to play from the hard drive anyway?
Obviously i'm missing something here!!!

put mods on a game, if your game is so scratched it cant be played you dowload the game iso and you hotswap and install the downloaded one so you can play the game.

The second disk that you put in is a modded disk, you cant run the disk, but you download it onto your harddrive. because its downloaded on your harddrive it lets you run the modded version when you run the normal disk. (I think anyways, I've never actually hotswapped, but thats what I think goes on..)

Thanks, so the second disk that is used, contains a modded version of the game? What sort of mods can be made to the game? Why would you want to do this?
Thanks in advance.

If you can hot swap the disk is there a chance of a boot disc similar to that used for the ps2? Is there a way to boot and then swap to a different game backup?
