YES I know this is OPTIONAL, but you don't get the point. Many other gaming companies are already doing the things that elite are offering for free, so activison is just looking fore more money and want to screw over their customers.

Why is that your problem? People can spend their money on whatever they want. People who have seen a demo of ot have said that it makes bungie.net look likes its still in alpha stages of development so you cant compare it to other game companies until it comes out.
