My fatherr is in the us army went to Iraq for 1 year...
it sucked but listen if you go to war it will make you a better person overall understanding things..

Im proud to say hes fighting for my country not just some guy who might get killed.

well considering the fact that i have a brother and 3 friends who just graduated the U.S. Naval Academy my bro and 2 friends going to surface warfare (on a destroyer) and 1 going to marines; i will say you are most likely not going to be put anywhere you want to be placed. 1 of my friends is a Navy ROTC and is having very weird jobs and services.

i highly suggest you go to an academy such as west point or even maybe joleque first for a basic over view of what you need to do and be trained in

Good luck on getting in, Marines, Army, and Airforce are all cutting back the number of people they are accepting.

And it doesnt matter what we think, its all about what you want.

But if you do get in youll probably be waiting awhile before you actually goto basic.

I myself leave for Basic for the marines on july 25th.

Infantry for the Army, im training for it now

Im 17 at the moment to i dont graduate until next year the thing you should do is talk to all the recruiters and filter out the bullshit they feed you by doing research find a branch with a job that you like and that youll enjoy dont be a grunt dude do not i mean do not go into infantry no matter what do not do it it will just get you killed. But im planning on going into the Marine Corps myself. Good luck with the choice you make.

I think I'm just going to enlist in the Army when I'm of age. I really am unsure of what to do in life, my grades are average, but I am pretty healthy and fit. I still plan on training more before I enlist but it is definitely a very respectable thing to do.
