Usually they play on a private server. It is an easy way to scam and say it's ok official servers. There is no way for a easy injection of gems other then buying them.

Easiest thing is do events. They give some good guns straight up so you don't have yo find the resources

I would lean towards fortnite if I had to choose but I like both of the games a ton so it would be a tough decision.

I don't think they do alien testing but they most likely test and make weapons that they don't tell the public about. They definitely keep stuff hidden though.
