1. Go to dashboard
2. Sign out
3. Play MW3 (or any other game)
4. Go to multiplayer (or whatever menu)
5. Sign in(it may freeze but just give a minute or two)
6. Done!

I am having the same problem on this and on Black ops 2 there must be something wrong with call of duty
