I would get a Mac but ive grown up on windows and can troubleshoot almost anything with windows. How hard would it be to get used Mac's OS?

Im going to college in a couple months and need to get a laptop. I need one that i can use for gaming but also good at being a portable laptop.

I just started playing again but i remember that you used to be able to join some peoples game and the host would kill one guy and youd get leveled up immediately to max rank. Is this still a thing?
