In order for the crates to drop, you can't kill the computer players guarding the drop zone. Also Don't stank inside the circle until the crate has been dropped or it wont usually work.

Once you are up to that part of the glitch wait about 15 or 20 seconds before you phone them that can sometimes make a difference
