Purgatory is pretty much used as power. There is no power switch on the map. Instead to power perks and traps, you have to go to purgatory and use your electric powers to power the perks and traps.

I really think the name is cool and I like that it is a hybrid sub-assault rifle gun. Overall, I dont prefer to use it though.
