Go to your settings, you probably have chat turned off for kinect.

You cannot "play" with them as such because the games work differently (some games).
You can go into Party chat and talk to each other though.

I thought people on the Xbox one couldn't ...

Whenever I try to launch an app it just freezes for a few seconds then puts me back to Xbox home, I can't even access my settings because of this... Anybody else having this problem?

Either wait until you're allowed in normal games again or get people to commend you, if enough people commend you, you'll be able to get out early. I'm still stuck in there for another day.

Look for a commend for commend lobby, if enough people commend you, you will be able to get out early.

Start > Online > Players > (player name) > kick.
